Hrazdan is  the capital of Kotayk marz (province) in Armenia.It is located in the north-western part of Armenia.The city is located  on a heifgt of 1600-1750 metres above sea level.

Hrazdan is an industrial city.There is a hydro power station, a thermoelectrical power station a cement factory and many other factories in Hrazdan.

There are 13 public schools, 13 nursery schools and a number of special schools for art,music and sports.
